Choices for Camper and Cabin Choice this morning included archery, fishing, swimming, sports, and arts & crafts. We also crowned Cabin 1 (youngest girls) as winners of the camp-wide checkers tournament! Way to go Cabin 1!
This afternoon we were visited by University of Kentucky football players (GO CATS!) and the Iron Order Motorcycle Crew. The kids LOVED seeing both groups.
Also, this afternoon about 40 people went on a nice hike to find an infamous old bridge in the woods and got back just in time for dinner.
Dinner was a big hit- steak and pork. And good thing we fueled up because this evening was jammed packed with our color war (so fun) and our closing campfire. The campfire consisted of skits, songs, and everyone's favorite- S'MORES. We also had a ceremony for our 5 campers that are graduating and a remembrance ceremony for those that we lost this past year.
We also FINALLY solved the CLUE mystery that we've been investigating all week....and it was Professor Plum, in the Campfire Circle, with a Rope! The cabins that guessed right got to silly string and throw water balloons at Professor Plum as punishment for harming Poogas.
The younger cabins are already dreaming sweetly in bed and the older cabins are hanging out playing board games right now.
We have lots more fun planned for tomorrow including our annual DANCE!

Whether you happen to be UK or Louisville fans, you have to agree that the Louisville players were the real winners.
Right now, as we type...some campers are watching the Lego movie and others are enjoying a refreshing night-swim in the pool. We are guessing that it will be an early bedtime for most.
We wish everyone a goodnight and will update again tomorrow night.

Everyone enjoyed the views, the breeze from the sundeck, and the delicious Tumbleweed lunch. Once we were back on dry land, the younger cabins headed to the Science Center and the older cabins went to the Frazier History Museum.
The Science Center campers got to see science experiment demonstrations before checking out the exhibits and the Frazier History campers visited the "Gridiron Glory" special exhibit and witnessed a mid-evil sword demonstration. Everyone must have been worn out from all the excitement because quite a few people slept the entire way back to camp.
After we refueled with a yummy smoked turkey dinner, it was time to play everyone's favorite- BAZOOKA BALL!!!!
Things are winding down now here at Indian Summer Camp and we can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring! Goodnight all!

We enjoyed a fabulous pizza dinner donated by Pop Wells before heading to our opening campfire. During the campfire, we recognized our first-time campers with bravery feathers and played a riveting giant Jenga game to get to know each other.
To start off our weeklong "CLUE" mystery, we learned about an unfortunate crime against "Poogas" (our Indian statue mascot) and questioned our suspects. Starting tomorrow each cabin will work to solve the WHO, WHERE, and WEAPON used before all the other cabins.
Everyone is now off to bed (many of the younger cabins are already resting soundly) and we wish you very sweet dreams at home.
We will be posting pictures tomorrow, so please stay tuned!
